Current Hours of Operation

Park grounds and trails are open, sunrise to sunset.

When conditions permit, the NPS will have staff available on the grounds of the Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Centers to provide orientation and informal interpretation in outdoor settings, including maps, general information, and Junior Ranger booklets.

All public programming is canceled. Parks buildings, including Chatham, the Stonewall Jackson Death Site, and Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center are closed to the public.

Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center
Building closed. Restrooms available.
Park Rangers available for information at the nearby Park Store.
Fredericksburg Gift Shop/Bookstore open daily, 9am – 5pm.

Chatham Manor
The grounds around Chatham are open sunrise to sunset. Historic home and grounds which served as a field hospital and a Union headquarters during the Civil War.
Chatham Manor building Closed.

Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center
Lobby and Store open daily, 9am-5pm. Exhibits closed. Restrooms available.
Park Rangers on site provide orientation.

Wilderness Exhibit Shelter
An open-air exhibit shelter.

Ellwood
The grounds around Ellwood are open sunrise to sunset, even when the house is closed. To access the grounds, park at the Ellwood Manor gate, leaving the gate clear, and walk .4 mile to the grounds.
Staff are onsite at the grounds of Ellwood Manor on weekends from 10:00am-3:00pm. Interior of Ellwood Manor is closed.

Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield
An open-air exhibit shelter.
Open sunrise to sunset.

“Stonewall” Jackson Death Site
Historic building where General Jackson died. Grounds are open sunrise to sunset.

Old Salem Church
Historic church which served as a battlefield landmark and field hospital during the Chancellorsville Campaign.

Fredericksburg Tours | Civil War – Open. Private battlefield tours.

Fredericksburg Hauntings Tours – Tours resume on Friday, June 18. Tours will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

Hallowed Ground Tours – Open. Available for area battlefield tours and Fredericksburg City’s architecture and history tours.

Olde Towne Carriage Tours – Open for carriage rides. Book here.
